Book Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Hello guys! Today, I am going to review Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Thank you for viewing this post and be sure to subscribe to my channel called “Dhyana fun channel.” Now let’s review this book!

This story is about a boy named Harry Potter who has to live with his Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon, and cousin Dudley because his parents died in a supposed “car crash”. Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon treat Harry horribly and make him do chores all day. But Dudley is way worse. He bullies Harry throughout his early childhood and is spoiled as he gets all of the attention while Harry is not getting any at all. But things started to become better for Harry as a few weeks before Harry’s birthday, many letters appear in questionable places such as in the inside of eggs and coming down the chimney. Finally, Uncle Vernon snapped, and they moved to a shack far away from their house in the middle of a stormy sea a day before Harry’s birthday. But when Harry stayed up until midnight and wished himself a happy birthday, a person named Hagrid broke into the shack and told Harry all about a magic school called Hogwarts and that he, Harry, was going to go there. Hagrid gave Harry a birthday cake and lit up the fireplace using his magic, pink umbrella, and made Dudley turn into a pig after Aunt Petunia admitted to Harry that she knew that he was going to go to Hogwarts and did not want him to go as that was how she lost her good relationship with her sister.

The next morning, Harry and Hagrid go down to a secret wizard shop where many other wizards honored Harry and Hagrid tells Harry about how his parents died from an evil wizard named Voldemort and that when Voldemort tried to kill Harry, the spell rebounded and killed Voldemort instead. This is when Harry and Hagrid go down to a train station to go to platform 9 3/4, which is inside a wall between platforms 9 and 10 where Harry meets a boy named Ron Weasley. Ron and Harry sit on the Hogwarts Express where Ron talked about all of his siblings and Harry talked about Voldemort and how Voldemort curse rebounded on himself (Voldemort). They also meet Hermione Granger when she fixes Harry’s glasses and tells them to change back into their Hogwarts robes. And so they went, all the way to Hogwarts, becoming better and better friends along the way.

I recommend you read this book because it has a lot of suspense and action, such as when Harry and Ron save Hermione from an angry troll. I hope that you like my book review. Bye!
